Local treatment of:
- Localized forms of soft-tissue rheumatism, e.g. tendovaginitis, shoulder-hand syndrome, bursitis.
- Rheumatic diseases, e.g. osteoarthritis of the spine and peripheral joints, periarthropathy.
- Inflammation of the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and joints due to trauma, e.g. sprains, strains and bruises.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, 2-4 gr of DICLOBAR emulgel (cherry to walnut sized amount) should be applied 3-4 times daily to the affected sites and gently rubbed in. DICLOBAR emulgel can also be employed as an adjunct with other dosage forms of DICLOBAR.
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, Aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, and to polyethylene glycol.
DICLOBAR emulgel is generally well tolerated. Pruritus, erythema, rash, or stinging may occasionally occur.
Photosensitivity reactions have been observed in isolated cases. If DICLOBAR emulgel is applied to large area for prolonged periods the possibility of systemic reactions cannot be completely excluded.
