Description
Indications:
- Benign gastric ulcer
- Duodenal ulcer
- Gastro esophageal reflux disease
- Duodenal and benign gastric ulcer associated with H. pylori
- Zollinger Ellison Syndrome
Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to any of the drug components
Side Effects:
Generally well tolerated, but may cause headache, diarrhea, include rhinitis, abdominal pain, vomiting, flatulence, dizziness, dry mouth, and rash.
Dosage and administration:
- Benign gastric ulcer :20 mg daily in the morning for 6 weeks
- Duodenal ulcer: 20 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks
- Gastro esophageal reflux disease: 20 mg daily in the morning for 4-8 weeks then 10 mg maintenance dose
- Duodenal and benign gastric ulcer associated with Hpylori: 20 mg twice daily
- Zollinger Ellison Syndrome: initially 60 mg once daily
