Composition:

Each tablet contains Rabeprazole 10 or 20 mg

Description

Indications:

  • Benign gastric ulcer
  • Duodenal ulcer
  • Gastro esophageal reflux disease
  • Duodenal and benign gastric ulcer associated with H. pylori
  • Zollinger Ellison Syndrome

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to any of the drug components

Side Effects:

Generally well tolerated, but may cause headache, diarrhea, include rhinitis, abdominal pain, vomiting, flatulence, dizziness, dry mouth, and rash.

Dosage and administration:

  • Benign gastric ulcer :20 mg daily in the morning for 6 weeks
  • Duodenal ulcer: 20 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks
  • Gastro esophageal reflux disease: 20 mg daily in the morning for 4-8 weeks then 10 mg maintenance dose
  • Duodenal and benign gastric ulcer associated with Hpylori: 20 mg twice daily
  • Zollinger Ellison Syndrome: initially 60 mg once daily
