Description
Indications:
Mucolytic agent for the adjunctive therapy of respiratory tract disorders characterized by excessive, viscous mucus, including chronic obstructive airways disease.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the drug components.
- Active peptic ulceration.
- Children less than 2 years old.
Side Effects:
Anaphylactic reactions and gastrointestinal disorders
Dosage and Administration:
Capsule and Syrup (250 mg/5 ml):
2 capsules 3 times a day reducing to 1 capsule 4 times a day
For syrup (250 mg/5 ml) (15 ml) 3 times a day reducing to (10 ml) 3 times a day.
Syrup (125 mg/5 ml):
5 -12 years: 10 ml 3 times daily
2 – 5 years: 2.5 -5 ml 4 times daily

- MUCOKAT Capsules: Carton box of 20 or 30 capsules.
- MUCOKAT 250 Syrup: Plastic bottles of 100 mL.
- MUCOKAT 125 Pediatric Syrup: Plastic bottles of 100 mL.
