Description
Indications:
- Skin and soft tissue infections, empyema, toxic shock syndrome due to staphylococcus aureus
- Treatment of hospital acquired staphylococcus epidermis infections
- For chronic administration in bone and joint infections
- Mild to moderate infections of respiratory tract, genitourinary and gastrointestinal tract
Contraindication:
- Hypersensitivity to penicillin and cephalosporin
- Neonates
Side Effects:
Skin rashes, nausea or diarrhea
Dosage and administration:
Capsules:
- Mild to moderately sever infections:1 capsules up to 3-4 times for 5-7 days
- Chronic conditions:1 cap. Up to thrice daily
The suspension after reconstitution:
- Children 2-12 years: 5 ml 3 times daily
- Children under 2 years: 2.5 ml 3 times daily
How Supplied:
- Amoxipen 250 Dry Powder for oral Suspension: bottles of 60 ml or 100 ml
- Amoxipen 500 capsules: box of 20 capsules
